Background Information

The specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Lesley A. David manages a wide variety of problems relating to the jaws, face, mouth, and teeth. Dr. David practices oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise in all aspects of dental implant surgery, including soft tissue and hard tissue grafting, as well as solutions which avoid bone grafting in certain scenarios. Dr. David performs dental extractions in a manner which is conservative and preserves your bone for implant placement. Often, an implant is placed at the time of the dental extraction. Dr. David’s practice also includes wisdom teeth removal, exposure of impacted teeth, pathology and corrective jaw surgery. In addition to providing exceptional surgical care, the ISC team is focused on infection control above and beyond what is required by the Regulatory Bodies as your health and safety is our priority.

All procedures may be performed under local anesthesia and/or various forms of sedation including general anesthesia. Dr. David will discuss the various options; the goal is to make all patients feel at ease and comfortable throughout their care. The ISC team is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting.
